All Hail Metzpah! LOL thanks for the awesome video! I still hope that if you ever visit DC you might be able to do a class Smile Just let us know ahead of time so that I can give notice to my job, lol. I am starting to make tutu skirts so I hope to do wings as well soon!

Wonderful wings! Thank you for the tutorial. Now I am not young and cute so I won't pass for a fairy at a party, but maybe I can try for fairy god mother - she was older and plump. I think a new costume is brewing in my head Very Happy

No but they are the easiest to paint vibrant colours, so I use them the most. I have used black, brown, grey and navy too, but I have not found any cheap knee high stocking supply in fun colours.

Sorry but I think anyone, no matter the age and cuteness, makes a wonderful fairy! Wink I have seen incredibly beautiful fairies of all types.
I work in a costume shop too, and last Halloween I rented a blue fairy outfit to a rather large, not all that young, hairy man! okay well maybe he wasn't so beautiful, but he was enthusiastic and was having much fun Smile

It depends on the details and the drying times for paint layers. I could make a pair anytime between a few hours/day to about a week. I have not got the process streamlined :/. I tend to take 3-4 days on average. I am sure they could be banged out way faster than that.

Those are works of art! If folks want something 'banged out way faster' they're not going to get the amazing designs and details you put in. Stunning! Really stunning!

How do you adhere the silk flowers? Is hot glue sturdy enough or do you sew them on too?

I find hot glue does the trick in most cases.

Woman, your wings are just stunningly beautiful, love all of your colors you chose too. Are you sure REAL Fairies didn't make them? Wink
