Step by Step Rose Tattoo
Here's the step by step for the rose tattoo.
Sorry, I don't know how to do the fancy ones:-)
Linda
Brushes:
Small detail round brush
6 inch round
4 inch filbert
Paint:
DFX Red
DFX Black
DFX White
Paradise Yellow
Paradise Orange
Paradise Lagoon Blue
Paradise Amazon Green
Using a detail brush & black start the design in the center of the rose & work out(don't wory if your lines get a little light as you'll sharpen the design up at the end).

Re: Step by Step Rose Tattoo
Fill in all the red w/ a 6 inch round or 4 inch filbert or what you're comfortable with. Try not to touch the edges too much to avoid bleeding.
Fill in the yellow areas & highlight w/ orange.
Shade the blue areas.

Finish w/ the green areas.

Fill in the black shadowing.

To shade:
Take your back paint & wet it down on a pallet so it looks like dirty water. Take a small amount on a detal brush & shade around your design. Have the shadow extend further on one side(as if light is striking the other side of the object).

Take a fine round brush & touch up your lines.
Highlight w/ white.

Clayton,
Hope this helps!

Re: Step by Step Rose Tattoo
wow that's amazing! i couldn't get the rose painted anything like that haha so the step by step's not much use to me, but it looks fabulous!
Re: Step by Step Rose Tattoo
Thank's for the tutorial,
i don't do that but it's interisting to see how you do it and maybee apply for an other make up.
I have just one question, and it's not just in this post: I remark often that paradise colors are choice but for the white and the black not, why ? it's a mistake for me...(hope you can understand this bad english

Re: Step by Step Rose Tattoo
Marie,
Paradise is very creamy & blends well. It makes beautiful base(or backgrounds) in your design. However, when painting lines, it blends with the base color as you paint over it and looks muddy. Wolfe or DFX paint works better for lines & will keep it's color as it goes over the dry base.
