Light Sabre

Post by SEZnz on Thu Aug 19, 2010 6:09 am

Hi everyone!

I think I remember someone saying they make a light sabre as an alternative to the boring old sword (Kristal?) -how do you actually get the glow stick into the balloon? Do I inflate it once, let the air out and then try to smoosh it in? What would you guys suggest? i'm gonna pop down and get some glowsticks tomorrow, I love the idea!

I do a light saber, but I don't use a glow stick. seems to me that the first time they hit someone with it, the balloon would pop? but I use a black for my handle and either a jewel tone blue or red for the blade.

Clayton - great idea! I should try that one. Oh wait. I never buy jewel tone anything anymore, besides black and clear. Bunk. Think the regular dark blue and standard red would look good?

Sure, they might pop, but they ARE all balloons - they just bring me back the glow stick and we do another one Smile Or else they just get the glow stick, haha.

Yeah, I do glow sticks (and very rarely - swords just about never show up on my display board, never in my birthday flash cards, and I loathe to mention I can do them - or else everyone wants a sword and that's not very impressive, haha) - I get the thin bracelet sized ones (Michael's, or WalMart near Halloween, or my balloon wholesaler), slip one into a clear 260, inflate leaving a...1-2" tail (it's been a while) and do 3 flower petals for the hilt (?). That's it!

Not quite as effective in broad daylight, though Razz

I buy the jewel red blue just for that. I don't use them for anything else.
