Help with Macaw

Post by dendia on Thu Aug 19, 2010 8:21 pm

Hi all ! so at the festival I did recently a little boy requested a macaw and I had no clue how to draw one lol I ended up making a funny looking design in my attempt. I was playing around today trying to come up with a simple macaw and this is what I came up with which I did on my arm but it was intended for a face. The problem is that is not to practical. Does anyone has a easy macaw design? or maybe ideas to fix mine? the thing on top its supposed to be the tail lol.
P.S. I can't believe I had the courage to post this pic lol Embarassed

That'd be a hard one for a face. I hate doing pictures of animals- so hard when the model is wiggly.

I tried out a parrot on my arm... hard!

The blue/green feathers were done with the yellow-green-blue range from a rainbow cake.

It's just hard being on the spot when you're trying to paint! If only we could always paint with access to google images!

Thanks. You're right: just a flat brush with the cake.
