LOL! I've seen the kits of some of the pro's.... YIKES!
OK, I get it & I'm covered in my cleaning processes. I'm doing the most I possibly can to make sure I'm as clean & safe as possible w/o keeping my paints, sponges & brushes in a plastic bubble.

Tonight I'm soaking all my sponges overnight... just to see if the water gets dirty(just curious).

I too have seen the kits of the "masters" .... many times.... and, well, let's just say I don't model for them unless it is the first class of the day and it is a new sponge!

Dawnie - you are fine. If you are cleaning with due diligence - by hand or by machine - your best to make sure your sponges are a true clean - you're fine.

I rinse the paint out of my sponges when I get home, then put them in a mesh laundry bag to wash in the machine. I use some kind of hypoallergenic laundry soap that doesn't have perfumes, dyes, etc. Then I let them air dry.

My sponges are one time use only. Kansas Dept of Blah Blah Blah... "Beauty" Regulators said so. No biggie, I have found A LOT of cheap, non scratchy big sponges at the local dollar store to cut up and use.

Thanks - it's great to know some Australian links and not having to search and purchase from the rest of the world all the time.

Velvet soap also works great. You get cheaper and bigger bars in the laundry aisle. Exact same stuff just packaged slightly differently.
