Face Painting is Theraputic

Last week could be added into the hall of fame for one of the worst weeks ever. I almost didn't want to work on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, but I was booked & had to go. Let me tell you, I started feeling so much better after painting kids!

Now for the news... My mom is older & starting into dementia. I've been working very hard to keep her in her apartment & not in a facility. She got taken advantage of & a man in her apt complex tried to switch all her $ into his checking account. We caught him & he only got what was left in the account(about $100). He almost got all of next months money. He was in the process of switching all her direct deposits into his account. We think he was planning on kidnapping her. Now, we're in the process of moving her. The worst part is until the case is complete he's still not charged w/ anything or in jail(as my mom was "willing" to give him the $)! Dept of Children & Families is involved.

I'm so sorry to hear that. There are sooooo many people just waiting to take advantage of people. I hope everything works out well for you and your mom!

I am glad Dept of Children & Families is involved. In California they take such things pretty seriously. I hope Florida with its large older population also does. Hopefully they will investigate and things will be made right. It can be so difficult caring for aging parents. You are in my prayers.

He's 55 & mom is 75... All I can say is when I'm near him, there is this overwhelming presence of evil in the air. He's very charismatic & over bearing. Very Creepy feeling! I look at him & predator comes to mind. I'm not sure this is the 1st time he's tried this...

Well, things are moving along. All her $ is safely going back to her accounts. He did get what he took & a case is pending. I'm moving her next week... I hope.... and.... She's very mad at me because I'm moving her
