Re: STAINED!!!
Although I have not experienced a problem with staining on myself or a customer.....(knock on wood) I do intend on incorporating the idea of putting down a silver base for an added measure of precaution especially on small children, so thank you for the tip.
Re: STAINED!!!
Knock on wood, I have never had a parent complain, occasionally when a child requests a rich colour such as wolfe metallic blue or purple...I will ask the parents if they are ok with the possibility of a stain, and tell them that I remove it with soap and water and then use childrens shampoo, but usually they laugh and say something like "no worries, she'll want it to last for a week anyways" Maybe I have just been lucky so far but I have no concerns about staining. I've had more people concerned it will come off before the end of the day than I have about it NOT coming off. LOL And FWIW, I have three very fair chidlren with white blond hair, I use all of the colours on them to see how it stays, the only colour I avoid is paradise teal and tht is because DFX teal is just as pretty, easier to use for me and doesn't stain them.

It works for me.
Does it need to be a silver (metallic) base or would a light gray work as well?

Re: STAINED!!!
It needs to be metallic - although Im not sure why it works - but it does.
i think may be because the pigments in the gold and silver are close to skin color and they go on a bit sheerer - but honestly I don't know - I just know it works.
lmao - (such a girl answer - i don't know how it works it just does!)

Re: STAINED!!!
i've been warning parents that it might stain, and so far they've all been super happy to go ahead
Re: STAINED!!!
I also warn parents & always pick less staining colors for super fair skinned or very young kids. I also tell them about the kid shampoo trick. They seem appreciative.
Silver does work, as I tested it this weekend & I'm not going to church today w/ an amazon green forehead

Just a tip on removing stubborn make-up.... old fashioned cold cream. It's standard theatrical make-up kit for grease paint, glue, face paint, everything.
