Perler Beads

Post by Spectrum on Tue Aug 31, 2010 10:23 pm

Anyone else addicted to perler beads other than me - here lately I have found myself making all sorts of things out of them, it's a good stress reliever and a really cool little hobby. I have a few of my family members hooked as well. clown

Hey Mandi, don't have a pic of them on hand - you can google them though to see what they are all about or check out the perlerbeadstore dot com. They really are a lot of fun, very relaxing and it's a very cheap hobby. Smile

I have a similar story. When I was 12 or 13, I absolutely loved them. I had this huge bucket of glow in the dark ones, and my sister and I were playing in my room one night. Needless to say, the beads ended up spilling everywhere. They were all over the room-under the bed, stuck in the carpet, hidden between notebooks on my desk, and even stuck in the computer keyboard. It was terrible. We spent days trying to pick them up, but a couple of years later when we pulled up the carpet to put down hardwood, we found more of them in the back of my closet. No idea how they got there.

After that experience I moved on to different kinds of crafts. I would rather poke my finger through with a sewing machine needle than have to clean up all of those beads again.

I LOVE Perler beads! They were a hit with the campers at the camp where I taught arts and crafts for 3 years.
