Wow, the hair actually does look nice Cassandra! I'm impressed. I wish MY head looked that natural in those hair styling programs. afro

Your head shots (haha) look nice too - great linework!

Thanks! Here is a 'boy' face. Is it acceptable? Are boys going to be turned off? Lonewolf's faces are gender neutral but my head is definitely feminine. Let me know what you think.

That looks great.

Are your heads a full head or just a face?

It looks great! On being feminine, perhaps you could leave the black off the lips, or maybe make them more rounded and not peaked at the top? That's the only major giveaway for me that it's a girl head.

I see what you mean about the lips. I'll redo it and not paint them. Yes, this is a full head.

I've run into a glitch with the hair imaging. I can't get an image with enough resolution to use on my menu. When I try to resize it, the quality decreases dramatically. Does anyone know how to resize and keep the sharpness?

If you resize and show it the same size as before, it will look pixelated. Else there is often the option to save at different qualities. What program do you use, and what kind of image do you save it as? (jpg, png, gif?) Often gif shows the worst pictures.

I'm using Corel's Paint Shop Pro and I have images saved as .jpg's and .psp's. I'll try saving at a higher resolution. Maybe trying a different hairstyle program would help too. Other programs may have the option to save at different resolutions.

Is it the hairstyle program that makes the pictures unsharp?
Long time since I have worked with Corels programmes. Now I use Gimp, it is free and have a lot of the same features as Photoshop =)

Yes, it's the hairstyle program. The only options are to print the picture or email it. I can copy it by right clicking on it. I've only tried one program online though.

I did try increasing the resolution and it helped a bit but still isn't as crisp as I would like. It might be good enough for a 8.5 x 11 menu though.

I'm beginning to lean toward the bald heads again Laughing

How about using the Print screen option? It is the button on your keyboard saying "Prt sc". Then open your image program and press Ctrl+V or use the insert option.

I tried that too thinking there was more than one way to skin a cat but still the resolution is not what I hoped it would be. It's about the same as right clicking and saving.

I'm going to try a different program.

I painted faces at a beach wedding a few weekends ago. I knew I would have a tiny, tiny space and an ocean breeze to deal with so I had to get creative with my display. I wound up just loading my pics onto a digital photo frame! Talk about a cool effect. Some of the kids were so absorbed with the photos that they had to be reminded to take their turn!

Love it Perry, I'm on the hunt for the stanchions. Boy, the new ones are pricey.
What size photos did you have laminated?
You also say you have two dots for pricing, what sizes are each one?
Thanks,
Judy

awesome ideas! Must get moving with a display board...don't have one. (Usually have 2 (identical) looseleaf notebooks with pics that gets passed around).

@Lonewolf: Love the faces display.
