I've made my own scale stencil

Post by Anita's Faces on Tue Sep 07, 2010 12:23 pm

I've made my own scale stencil of an orange net.
It gives a nice effect.

It is a orange net.
In the Netherlands our oranges are packed in a mesh bag.
Like Psalmbook says!!

You also can use a piece of bubble plastic for a nice effect.
Michelle has shown that once on a Dutch forum.
I've never tried it myself.

I just tried the bubble wrap & it was ok(my bubble wrap was a little old & probably not the best test subject). It would probably be a one time use item.

For dainty mermaid makeup I've done something similar with a piece cut from fishnet stockings. I like the frame to keep things more stable, that's ingenious!

Awesome idea thanks for sharing Anita!

On a side note there is an artist in Australia that makes sculptures out of those bags - she sets them in shape with some sort or resin glue -
amazing what you can do with an orange bag!

I cut apart a mesh laundry bag that ripped, the scale shapes are slightly different but look good too.
