Perhaps you can press with a damp sponge?

Paradise gold I'm guessing? It's just like that. I bought it a few yrs ago & ended up not buying any more paradise after that because it did the same thing. Now I love paradise. I still have shied away from that color & don't know if it works.

Try adding 2-3 drops of glycerin(an ingredient already in your paint) to your spray bottle & spraying it as you use it. You can find glycerin in the band aid isle. Sometimes it sweats off the paint & makes it dry & brittle.

Glycerin is a humectant - it will attract water into any formulation you put it in. Just FYI as to why this may work Smile

Cool, I just knew it worked & was safe to do Very Happy

FYI... a little goes a long way, so don't put to much glycerin in or the paint will get very gloppy.

I put a couple of drops of glycerin in about 2 tablespoons (or was it three?) of boiling hot water and then poured it right into my cake. Then I put the whole thing in the microwave for about 5-10 seconds. The water seeps down into the paints. even if you put a bit too much water, the mixture will be hot enough for the water to evaporate pretty quickly. I left it to sit on my desk (no lid, but covered with a paper towel) for a couple of days and when I went back to it...no more crumbs and it's just as creamy as my other metallics.

Oh, after a few hours, I took a piece of saran wrap and a paper towel and pressed the cake to compress. I think the heat combined with the pressing helped it to bond to itself, I've never had another problem with it.

Linda, its supposed to be Sunset Orange Metallic..and doesn't even look like it..same thing with the Cherry Bomb Red Metallic..
I will definetly buy Glycerin, Thank you ladies!!
I will try Lady Jayde method...
Anita, If I use a damp sponge, only the superficial part of it will stay together, once I swipe the brush in, everything its starts to crumble again...

It's just a waste of paint everywhere, everytime I pull it out..it's out of my kit for the moment!

I just went shopping for glycerin and it was behind the pharmacist's counter.

I'm annoyed, I was hoping (as Paradise said when we all complained years back when they 1st launched the metallics) they had solved this crumbling issue. But nope, 2 of the 5 metallics i just got are like that. I won't be buying it again - why pay for paint I have to 'fix'. A shame.
