Very cute, I love the style of the lion!
The only thing I would want to try (and I am sure how it would turn out) would be doing the zebra with a narrower shape....

more like a horse....??

I love these. The most dreaded face request for me is the monkey. I draw a blank everytime.

Daizy - thanks! Horses always stump me, too. I don't know what it is. Painting something head on that way more recognizable (?) from the side, maybe? I will try making it narrower.

Thanks rosie - too bad neither design is mine!

Suzy - love it! I've been meaning to do more nose designs, too!

This has been such a help!

Shannon, There weren't a lot of kids there at 10am on a school day. Most were to young to paint & the pics were not worth using. They may try again on a Monday holiday as a lot of school age kids will be in the office. I'm still pushing for the models & a real photo shoot. It was fun & the staff were very excited.

nothing wrong with planet of the apes, lol, its just that i want a "cuter" version if possible. We have so many cute lions, tigers, zebras..etc...

btw i was painting at a friend's daughter's birthday and my nephew wanted to be a gorilla! Shocked I told my sister-in-law, he had to pick my kryptonite, lol...she told me he wants to be one for halloween and wants her to be a giraffe and my brother to be a lion Smile it was a mess to say the least, but oh well...

This is why i need a cute monkey/gorilla face!

I do a giraffe similar to the one posted going over their eye... then I paint leaves from the top of their forehead for the giraffe to "eat".... I've mainly responded to monkey requests by painting a monkey upside down, hanging from it's tail onto their cheek. Sorry I don't have a sample picture right now.

Oh I love the monkey upside down idea!!! How cute. I have to admit I don't really like painting monkey faces they creep me out. pale I like the giraffe with the leaves added. I never thought of adding leaves. That would be cute as an eye design with the giraffe too. LOVE IT!

I made squirrel monkeys for a zoo. We ran out of white, so we started painting them in different browns and oranges instead. Looked like cute gorillas, abes and orangutans. But here are the other:

So I had the zoo party on Sunday - the birthday girl, whom I was told REALLY wanted a zebra, got a rainbow & unicorn Razz The only zoo animal I did (I added something like 4 or 5 new designs) was a nose monkey, out of 10 kids. Always the way!

I was hired for a 'monkey' party and the birthday girl ended up asking for a butterfly! Not one single monkey was painted. I did practice one though.
