FABAIC on the road NJ

OK I just found out that FABAIC on the road in New Jersey will take place. Tentatively scheduled for late Nov. 2010. At this point still in the process of securing the hotel. Alternate date would be for Jan 2011.

I see that Fabbulas is going to be in November also. I haven't been to anything like these before, but I'm considering going to one. I would have to choose between this one or Fabbulas. Which one would be better?

Well untill I found out that FABAIC NJ was actually going to happen, I was looking into going to Fabbulas since it is only ablout an hour trip from where I am located in Jersey.

I have been to the big FABAIC 2009 convention in Orlando and the NJ one last year. I can tell you both were run exceptionally well and I had a great time at both. I was not able to attend FABAIC this year due to the time out of school for the kids, so I was really looking forward to the NJ one.

For a moment I didn't think it was going to happen because I hadn't seen dates posted for it. So I called SF to see whats what, and it is going to happen.

I have never been to Fabbulas so I don't know too much about it.

Well, I'm trying to figure everything out. My sister lives in NJ, about an hour away from Philly, so I was thinking that I could maybe sleep at her place, eliminating the need to pay for a hotel room. However, I am now thinking that maybe everyone hangs out until late into the night painting. If so, then I will have to get a hotel room, but I can still possibly stay at my sister's for a night before coming back home to NY. Both events are probably fairly close to her. I'm not sure where in NJ the Fabaic is, but either one would probably be fun. I am wondering if hotel prices for the rooms are for single occupants, or can people share rooms?

The room price is just for the room regardless of how many are in it. So if you can find someone to share, it'll be cheaper for the two of you. That's what I was going to do. The only reason I hadn't booked Fabbulas yet was they aren't going to post the class schedule until a week or two prior to the event. The registration is non refundable. I don't wan't to pay for something only to find out that they are not offering classes I would be interested in taking.

I just think the end of the month is too late to post a schedule, I mean you already have your pre and post day schedules set so why not the regular schedule??
