Tall directors chair - AUSTRALIA

Post by Netsirk1976 on Wed Oct 13, 2010 3:36 am

Hi,
I've just ordered my tall directors chair! Woo hoo!!!
For all you Aussies, here is the link
http://www.redwrappings.com.au/product/Tall-Directors-Chair-1001392
It's $108.95 plus free freight - It's the cheapest I've found, especially considering free freight. One place quoted me $60ish plus $149 for the chair!!!

Cheers

I have been eyeing up that chair for months now. Only recently realised they shipped from Aus (even though we have a co.nz site)
To get it shipped over here is going to cost me $80+ :s I have yet to find anything over here I like as much...I am still tempted just to get it.
So wishing I was in Aussie right now!

When it gets here I'll measure and weigh it and get an actual postage cost if you want. Just give me your post code. I also have a friend who makes regular NZ trips for work so I could ask her if she wouldn't mind taking it with her.

Oh my, that would be awesome if you would be willing to do that!
I would be really interested to see the price difference in shipping. Thankyou.

Im getting that one as well... Free shipping sure beats the $600's I got quoted by a make-up company.

Also have you noticed that they have changed the description, it now says great for face painters and make-up artists. Someone's listening lol.

Mine arrived today - YAY!
Daizy, I just did a quote through Australia Post and they say $65.90 AUD to post so it's $2 AUD cheaper to get direct from Red Wrappings.
Whereabouts in NZ are you and I'll check with my friend in Melbourne.

Cheers

Oh, thankyou for finding that out for me Smile I think I have decided to just go for it and order straight from them.
I am about an hour north from Wellington.

....eeek, hope it is able to be sorted!

Don't send it back, I couldn't get mine to fold with the footrest on, so I did what another FP did and left it off. The first thing my 5 yo did was try to keep his feet on the footrest and fell out of the chair. I have a set of steps that I got from bunnings that I will use to get kids in the chair.

I set my kit up this arvo and took a load of pics, so I'll get you guys to critique it for me when I get the photos on the computer (this could take a while).

I think that because it's faulty it needs replacing. Whether I have it on or off is not really the point, I don't want to pay over $100 for a faulty chair.

I've spoken to them and had to take pics etc. They'll get back to me tomorrow about a replacement.
I'm going to see if I can buy it at reduced rate from them instead of returning as it will cost them $47 to post it back. I know having 2 would be overkill but if I can, I will.

It's a great height chair and I'm happy with it otherwise!

My kit needs finalising, I picked up a market umbrella from the Salvos for $5, it looks brand new and is beautiful and bright. I need to get a base for it. I have my FatMax. Just the finishing touches need thinking about.

I can't wait to see your pics!!!

Hey im thinking about buying this chair... is it worth it??
Im scared of children falling out the back and adults breaking it. Has anybody had any problems aside from the foot rest??

Hi guys

IKEA have a folding chair that kind of colapses in half with a foot rest. I originally got it as my makeup chair for clients but now use if for both FP and makeup. I think I paid $80 about 5 years ago and now they are around $4o, dammit. It has had literally 100's of bums in it, picked up moved around, climbed on and is still going great.

I highly recommend and is a lot cheaper. x

Me too, have the IKEA one. great chair...and was cheap. Only thing is it doesn't have arms. I have had some people complain - only b/c they are wanting to relax into a chair - but it's easier for me to do clients since there's no obstruction.
