I remember hearing she was sick... She hasn't been on since Sept. 7th... Anyone know anything?

I got this message from Debbi.....

I had surgery to remove the mass last week. The doctor opened the back of my neck and went up from there. It was not malignant but my neck has developed an infection. I am allergic to antibiotics so the only option is to have the wound opened every four days and irrigated. I am on strong pain medication and bed rest. Crying face smile emoticon

I have not logged into the forum in a while. Have not been working since September 25th either. Ugh.

Thanks for checking on me, you are so sweet. Feel free to let our forum friends know for me, if you wish.

I don't know when I will be back - yet.

Far out - sounds bad. I've been going through something like this with my mum - we are coming up on a year now.... i seriously feel for her and what she is going through. I hope she is surrounded by caring people.
Suzy you are so nice for checking up on her..... above and beyond..... that's what you should change your business name to..... although in retrospect it sounds like a religious organization.
Please pass on my best wishes to her if you end up sending her another msg.

Here is the latest update!!!

I was at the hospital this morning. The tube was taken out of my neck. It is still open but we are going to keep an eye on it as it heals/closes. I ended up having to have it irrigated with iodine for the last two weeks. That really burns. Here I am a grown adult crying like a baby but it appears to have been worth it. I do have scare tissue from the iodine but the infection seems to be gone, yeah!

I am off the pain medication and able to leave the house with it completely covered. I bought a decorative gold scarf to wrap around my neck so no one can see the bandages and tape.

Thanks for updating everyone for me and check on me. You have been a wonderful long distance online friend.

I hope to be back in the swing of things as soon as the incision site closes, maybe in another two weeks according to the doctor.

cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers
