Psalm, you need a page versus a group, and the code for the FB like button is one of the tabs on the page when you're in edit mode.

Go to your page, scroll to the very bottom (right I think) click "Badge" or "Create badge" ...I can't look it up on my iPhone right now.

Found the info, thanks! Stinky... I someohw set my FB page up as a group, so I can't get the Like Button.... I'm not sure I want to change everything now.... Oh well...

I couldn't figure out the badge thing. When I went to it, it was for other peoples pages, but not for mine. I'm a bit confused.

WM, you linked to your personal page, not a business page, that may be why you don't have the ability to create a badge.

See if this link works for you to create a page for your business:

WM, the badge thing on Facebook just gives you the snippet of code that you can then put on other websites.

So for example, for my own website, I picked the choice of "other", and it gave me the bit of code that I inserted into my website's HTML - so now there is this button on my website that encourages people to find (and hopefully "like"!) me on Facebook:

Rthling, thanks for starting this thread - it prompted me to set up my FB page, I worked on it yesterday and today. I've only invited a couple friends to look at it so far, but I can certainly see where it would be a great tool!

Edited: oh yes Pandora is right, for a personal page I don't think you can create a badge.

Thanks guys. I use that page only for business so I am not likely to create another one and try to build up my contacts again. I want opinions though. Does it make that big of a difference to set it up as a business page?

I need to add facepainting pictures onto the page we have on facebook and on our website. Ive not updated it in a while

Click on "Badge" and then choose what kind of badge - the pictures on that page are just samples. Choose your page from the pull down menu "Select a Page" and then use the code for your website. It might not be working for you if your page is a personal page instead of a business page.

I suggest making a business page then you can invite all of your friends to join. Plus, people can "like" (new name for "fan") that page without you having to approve them.
