Snaz Electric Green (From their metallic line)
I did my super hero party and of course forgot my camera. The pics that were taken and sent to me were awful, but I wanted to share this one because I was thrilled with the base.
This is Snazaroo Electric Green from their Metallic line.

I have used Snaz Sparkle Green with good results for pretty fairy bases, so I figured I'd give the metallic a go. It exceeded my expectations.
I barely had to add any finishing highlights because of the way that this color picked up light and shined in golds and greens. I just added my shadows and was good to go.

Nice. Did you have any trouble getting even coverage?
Re: Snaz Electric Green (From their metallic line)
The coverage was amazing!! Not like Snaz sparkle colors that are difficult to attain even coverage.
Re: Snaz Electric Green (From their metallic line)
Hmmm... You are making me rethink my next order. I'm considering snaz now.

I haven't tried their other metallics, so I won't vouch for any except this one green. Because you know how it is...sometimes a brand has one great color and the rest stink
Re: Snaz Electric Green (From their metallic line)
I love the Snaz electric blue for spongeing, it is really beautiful and covers well. I don't like to use it with a brush though, doesn't work that well for me.
And, of course, it stains on me like crazy - but a lot of the blue, green and purple colours stain on me, no matter the brand or type.

I like a lot of the snaz sparkle colors.
Especially the blue (turquoise), red, pink and the green does have some shimmery gold. At facepaintchat.com, I did a test of different colors on my arm. This included the sanz sparkles. Check it out. I would post here, but I am not sure that I still have the photos.

I like the Snaz sparkle line too for shimmery bases. Have you done a test for the Metallic line? If so, I'd love to see it.
They are definitely different from the sparkle line. There's not many of them (only 7 colors listed on the Snaz UK site) and the container has "Metallic Colours" stamped in gold on the front like shown below.

I did a sample of the Snaz metallics I have. From left to right they are copper, black, green, blue and purple. Hope this helps!

OOOoo! Thanks guys! I don't have sparkle purple and I like it, and I'm loving the look of all those metallics except maybe the black.
Lori, how do you like the black/ what do you use it for?

Re: Snaz Electric Green (From their metallic line)
I don't really like the black, but if you layer it on enough with the sponge it would be okay for kind of sheer coverage. Maybe a pretty mask or something. I need to experiment with it more and find out what it's good for. Someone else suggested using it for shadows.
Re: Snaz Electric Green (From their metallic line)
I love the wow factor of sparkle, electric & metallic colors and have em all for fabulous combinations or alone. The sparkling white splitcake Metina made up for me makes a great base for skulls, allowing for Classic white in light areas and DFX for final hightlights to bring out a more dimentional looking skull. The electric blue & purple make great linework instead of black on very light skintones!
The red/white combo shown below was replaced with sparkling pink & red ; D

For me, the tiger combo of metallic gold & sparkling Orange is a must! I added metallic copper to it just cause I happened to have it. The sparkling yellow, orange & red make awesome firebirds & butterflies! The most popular butterfly is the sparkling pink, yellow & turquoise. The 5 sunset sparkling colors above it makes the sunset palms scene pop!
Next to the classic flat yellow & lime green, the sparkling & electric green combo are great for loading one sponge, getting light near the focal point with dark surrounding it in one or two swipes. My one stroke pallet had this combination with a bit of classic black to create this self-outlined dragon on a body builders arm. The camera doesn't show the awesome sparkling & shiny effects of the paint and the green combo really pops on very dark skintones!

The camera doesn't do justice for the fantastic sparkling sheen of sparkling turquoise & electric blue. Amazing show stopper in real life!

Asking Metina to make up split sparkling & electric cakes for you would be an economical way to try them out.
Besides black & white, only three combos shown are classic flat snaz to use up the last ones I had. The sparkling, metallic & electric combinations are must-haves for my pallet!
Happy Painting,
Susan
