face painting CLASSES

I am the owner of JoJo's Party Pals in Mahopac, NY. I would love to take Face Painting classes but all the conventions are too far away, too much money, and too long! I have 3 teenagers and an 88 year old Mom with dementia, so I can get away for an afternoon, but that's about it! I heard a rumor that they have classes in Long Island, which is about 1 1/2 hours from me. Very doable!!! Please send info to joanne@jojospartypals.com! I hope to hear from someone soon! I think there is a Guild in NYC that Heff does. I'm not sure what it takes to join, but she'd be a good place to start.

Hello and Welcome!

Thank You for welcoming me! I have been a clown doing magic, balloon animals, and cheek art for over 18 years, but I consider myself a novice face painter. I've been teaching myself for over a year, with books, DVDs and You Tube videos! I practice on myself, my beauty school (free) head, and at charity gigs. I would love to take courses and attend conventions, but that's not in the cards for me right now. I have 3 teenagers, and my 88 year old Mom (who lives with me, the "designated daughter"..) has dementia, so I can get away for an day, or an afternoon. Most of the conventions are too long, or too expensive, and definitely too far away. I live in Upstate New York, so if anyone knows of classes offered in my area, or other parts of New York, please let me know!
