body paint, design in progress

This is a body paint I did on friday. I will probably do it again, I want to tweak the composition, and wasn't sure how to incorporate the face without taking away from the body. Also, I understand why they call continuous lighting "hot-lights" for photography. I used my lights for the first time and brushed my arm on the back of one, and ooohhh I got a burn!

Great Job! That looks like alot of work!! Hot lights are great but even being under them I find can be hard to take in an enclosed space. I've got one particular videographer that when I'm hennaing a bride, if he's doing the video, he uses them and I feel like I'm sweating so bad after hour 2 that you could wring me out!! Great dragon face! I'm starting to look at body painting but I'm not sure I'm interested in the whole shebang yet. Just backs...more because I would have a large canvas. What kind of base does that take? Is it special body paint? Cause it seems that if I used FP, that would be very expensive, wouldn't it??

@Mehndi- face and body paint are the same stuff. Products I used were: Paradise, Kryolan, DFX, and Tag. It doesn't use as much product as you would think, but it adds up. There isn't a whole lot of work for body painters here where it is cold much of the year, but I enjoy it very much and hope some day I can get jobs in other areas that will pay enough to cover expenses so I can travel.

thats awesome!! I don't know how you body painters have the patience for that craziness!! I get irritated after a intricate face paint. Kudos to you!!

Absolutely magnificent! I love how the design goes on and on with different details. May I ask how long it took you to do it?

It took me around 6 hour, which is how long competitions give you. I was going for a tattoo look
