Anyone in Manchester or on their way there?

Have a question for you, how are the roads there? My husband is worry about me driving there tomorrow

I am planning to go to convention tomorrow but heard roads are closed...does anyone know any new information...I am new to this site and will be a newbie at the convention.

Gina, I am in the same boat! This will be my 1st convention. Do you know which roads are closed?

No but some other ladies who are driving from NY has been on top of the forecast...they couldn't drive there today because of closed roads, but if I hear something I will post it.

I think they went went onto a weather forecast site & they tried calling the coordinator but got no answer as of yet!

i am still up in the air about driving to CT. Just plan to play it by ear. I have heard nothing from anyone except that the conditions are very bad. I am so dissapointed but I have not given up yet. Has anyone heard anything?

I paid ages ago to go to Pashur's class on 'Intimate Apparel' this Sunday evening. I have been dying to sit in his classes!!! But the drive from here is 3 hours in just one direction!!! In all this snow I am terrified of going! I am wondering if anyone wants to take the class and buy my spot from me. If you're out there and want to go, let me know. I will ask Pashur if he will accept an "exchange student"! Wish it was closer ... I am DEFINITELY not going to be able to attend.

After watching the news and the forecast my husband and I decided I wasn't going to drive up today, they were calling for black ice. My kids don't have school today either and who knows if tomorrow they will. Our town was still on state of emergency last night.
I can't even go Saturday and Sunday because my husband has a trip this weekend
Now i am out $135. I am so upset right now.

Contact Pashur, I wrote to him and he said:

"My class is NOT being canceled. If for some reason you can't make it due to snow, i would give you $75 in credit for a future workshop. ".

What a guy!

I didn't sign up for Pashur's class, I signed up for the 4 day convention. I emailed Kim but haven't heard from her. The money is not refundable but they give you a credit, I would have to use it at her shop and it will expire in March I believe.

I haven't heard a thing but I signed up for 3 extra classes and am very dissapointed...it looks like I won't make it either. The hotel says that the convention is still on schedule...I guess for the ones that got their before the storm. I still want to go for the weekend if the roads are ok but can't get a hold of anyone...very fustrating. I would like to meet up with anyone in NJ sometime to paint.
