TAG Paints
I know we have covered TAG paints before, but I can't find anything about specific TAG colors. So here is my question. What are your most favorite colors and your least favorite? I'm going to be making an order soon so I'd love to hear you feedback.
Re: TAG Paints
Hi there, I have a few TAG colors,
I love the pearl blue, old gold, pearl orange and pearl purple & pearl white.
I have the pearl gold but I think is more like a metallic yellow.
I also have a rainbow neon cake and it is awesome!
there is a thread where some one have samples of all the colors, let me look...

Re: TAG Paints
I like the Teal, Berry Wine, Golden Orange, and Earth (skintone). I think they are unique to the TAG/Wolfe/DFX family.
Otherwise, the rest of the colors are very similar to what DFX and Wolfe offer.
Although I have heard that Wolfe's light green color has changed and the instructors @ FABBULAS and the CT Convention were struck by how pretty and limey my TAG light green is.

Re: TAG Paints
The thread only has swatches of the pearl colors. I was interested in the essentials as well.
Thanks Heff, I'll have to consider those.

Re: TAG Paints
I found the red to be a little orangey, but I use snaz red which is very red. I love the pearls and one stroke cakes. Be careful of the dark green. It stains like crazy. If you buy the 45 or 90 g you can screw them into each other like a tower.
Re: TAG Paints
I absolutely do not like the neon 1 stroke or the pearl 1 stroke, the colors get all muddled when you use a brush and the neon is non existent unless you go over it several times to get any kind of intensity.
I have the wineberry and love that. I have the pearl yellow which I can't wait to try looks very pretty, and the pearl red which is a truer met red than the dfx.

Re: TAG Paints
Awesome! Thanks guys. I'm gonna have a hard time narrowing it down to just a few, but the budget is going to demand that I do so.
Re: TAG Paints
I only have a few of the Tag colors (you saw my kit in the laptop/scrapbook thread) but I don't really love the light blue. It's kind of periwinkle-y and not very vibrant.
Re: TAG Paints
Geekophile, last night, I came across some color comparisons of TAG colors versus all the other brands and I noticed the same thing. I feel like it could almost be used as a white substitute. I didn't like it at all.
Re: TAG Paints
I have the tag red and black..bought from metina..I like the red its more red than the dfx I have..but my dfx is old..maybe I will get a new one.. the black is ok..but I like wolfe and dfx black better..
Re: TAG Paints
You have to friend her to this, but this is the best swatches I have seen to choose which color of which brand I will buy. You have to friend her to see it, but it's worth it cause seeing all the colors right next to each other has really helped me.

Re: TAG Paints
That is awesome Whitney!
I do have other tag paints that are not pearl, I was a little confused and thought you were inquiring about the pearl colors.
berry wine is gorgeous! and the golden orange is too.

Re: TAG Paints
So when Metina posted that she had all of the colors of Tag in I (like everyone else I'm sure) rushed to the shop to look at all the pretties. Then I remembered-- oh yea, I don't have an money! duhh. But It made me think that maybe I don't have the Light blue after all, but the powder blue. So, I peeled back my little sticky piece of velcro and sure enough, Powder Blue- not light blue as I'd said. Sorry about that. It could be that the the light blue is awesome, I don't know. Anyway, here is a lousy picture of the difference between Tag Powder Blue and Paradise Light blue. You can see how the Tag (on the bottom) is a little more purple-ey grey.

Re: TAG Paints
WOW! Pretty colors Sophie! BTW I love you red wall, wish I was more brave, I have tan walls, white furniture, very light and airy beachy feel but looking at this is making me want to paint with a really bold color
Re: TAG Paints
If you do decide to take that step, let me make one very important suggestion (that I learned the hard way): do not get lazy and decide not to move your giant, heavy T.V. cabinet away from the wall. -- eventually you will re-arrange the room and have deep regrets!
