When my Wolfe black dippy pot(well) gets too big, I can squish it with my fingers to make it a smaller hole again Smile

If it is here i'm sorry but cant find it, i'm wondering how TAG pearl teal looks on the skin, looking at photos of it in the pot it looks very similar to TAG light blue i dont want to invest in something that i almost have anyway...
Has anyone got a sample i can look at?

Here's mine. I actually like the Kryolan best in this picture and on my arm, but I hate the application and smell of it. (Sorry I did it backwards compared to the other two.) DFX is next for vibrancy and then Wolfe.

Where did you order your DFX neon rainbow one? I noticed it isn't in the forum shop here.

Most of us started out with a 'party pallete' or some type of basic kit. What happens? Well...here's what happened to me. For a few years I used 2 small snaz palletes and 'details' from Paradise. But then...
1) I was at a summer carnival last year and 9 kids asked for a rainbow on their face. (It was the first time I had more than one rainbow in a festival). I had a line full of kids and I was painting soo slowly with individual colors. So I went online to Sillyfarm and saw arty cakes for the first time. Went 'this is brilliant!' and purchased a small arty cake rainbow. It arrived and I made my current avatar.
2) Watched some youtube videos and thought...hmm...glitter... I like glitter...went back to sillyfarm and order their 3 for $13 in random colors. The glitter arrived and I went..."OMG this adds SOOOO much to the design!" (At this point hubby had to refrain me from purchasing more glitter ).
3) But I was relentless! I was running out of SNAZ black and I was exasperated with Snaz white. All these youtube videos had crisp white lines and mine looked like something that my toddler was doing. I was also out of snaz green, pink, and brown. Told hubby that before an upcoming party something MUST be done, otherwise there would be many ticked children when I told them that I had no pink.
4) Researched as many brands as I could. Youtube. Blogs. Etc. Came onto face paint forum and read the forum. Decided on diamond fx. Didn't realize that the forum had a store (sorry Metina!) and realized sillyfarm didn't have DFX. Went online to WOWFACTOR and purchased a laptop filled with DFX metallics. Also purchased some white, red, black, (basic colors).
5) Paint arrived. Began painting cousins, siblings, anyone who'd hold still. LOVED the diamond fx. Discovered that my old snaz designs were 2,000 times nicer in metallic diamond fx with extra glitter (for good measure).
6) Saw how on the forum people did one stroke/used splits. Since 8th grade I've been painting with one stroke (and a number of other technicues). Tried to make splits using old/unused Snaz.
7) Got exasperated.
Cool Purchased arty cakes.
9) Discovered that Paradise paint smell is a little too much for me. Also didn't love the square container for anything other than loading a simple one swipe rainbow.
10) Purchased tag splits from Metina.
11) Fell in love with splits.

There's more to this story, because I now have tons of large splits, glitters, and I finally figured out how to make dots without details.
Hope you enjoy the saga cheers Razz

Maybe this is a silly question but what did you mean by you finally figured out how to make dots without details?

I have tag old gold and it is DELICIOUS!!!! Don't have swatch but I painted this with old gold, copper and bronze green all from tag. All of them are AMAZING!!!!!

I bought dfx gold and was very disappointed, it was more like metallic/pearl yellow, to tell you the truth, I have a hard time trying to figure out which one was gold and which one was yellow.

Which one is the color on your lips?

I noticed there really weren't any side by side swatches of aqua and teal colors that are just solid ones I saw the pearl and metallics but what are some good bright solid colors of both aqua and teal or even turquoise?

Also, has anyone found any new aqua, teal or turquoise metallic or pearls that weren't already mentioned?

There's another comparison here too:

Jessice, Detailsz is a brand of liquid paint some use for dots and lines, looks like a liquid eyeliner bottle. And she used to sale the DFX rainbow here, which I own and love (its in my avatar) but probably not since the DFX issues or she may just be out of stock.

GIna that Tag Pearl Blue is beautiful. Adding it to my list for sure.

Buy it from here. The Face Paint Forum shop.... putting links to others shops here when Metina sells it (at a very good price ) is bad form.

My bad Embarassed Newbie here. I've noticed numerous others throughout this forum making clear references to their paint/supply sources and did not realize I would be stepping on toes. I apologize. It won't happen again.

Manja, it's ok to mention another store if they are selling something Metina doesn't sell or is out of stock. We like to support her because she rocks Smile

Some also pay to advertise their link in their signatures Wink

It's all good! Very Happy

Thanks, that makes total sense. This is an incredible forum and great place to shop for supplies (which I do) - absolutely wonderful resource all around. The support, encouragement, and inspiration in here is endless. I feel like Metina has opened up a Gold Mine to share with all of us. I am so very grateful to have this resource available and appreciate the hard work and dedication required to maintain it all.

Ah ha Thanks ... what a noob! Smile Do you know if DFX Magenta is very similar to The Tag Magenta in the picture and also can I ask which you get most use out of Magenta or Pink?

My kit is only little and I am building bit by bit and they look pretty damn close to me!

Sorry to bring an old thread back up but I'm researching colours and drooling over them all here.
Anyone know what the comparison is like on the DFx golden yellow versus the TAG golden orange? They look very similar.

This is sooo helpful for a beginner to help them assemble their kit. I started out buying a few basic colors of the snazaroo brand and also a small mixed sample palette of Wolfe metalics and primary colors. I was happy with the snazaroo until I used the Wolfe - now I wish I hadn't spent my money on the Snaz. :-(

Snaz has its uses - don't knock it too hard. It is one of the easiest to get off the little ones faces. I just don't happen to prefer it for line work or if I want a reallly popping color. Check out some of Shannon Fennel's work - she's a Snaz kinda gal and her work is awesome!
