I went to Walmart today and only found packages that came with 4 colors and 5 crayons, I don't want the crayons and certainly don't want to pay 5 bucks for the 4 little square of paints lol
Did the 1.97 come in singles? And how big are they?
Thanks!

They were singles, 9 grams a piece. I saw the 4 pack too, which was overpriced. I will try to load a pic tomorrow, I still haven't figured out how to do that with my iphone

Lol I went to the one by my house, sent my husband to the one near his office and my mom to the one by her house across town...no luck! I am thinking about checking some of these seasonal halloween stores.

For those of you who are looking for them, the pacages have a rectangle of a single color with a foam applicator. Packages say Wolf Novelties on the back. I saw black, white, brown, red, pink, yellow, green, and light blue.

Are they really worth it at that price? I have two Walmart stores within 20 minutes of my house so I'll have to check them out Smile

They may make good one stroke, but wolfe tends to break and crumble easily.

Ohhhh's, so that is what they look like. Thank you Eva!

Cotton candy, you are right about them crumbling. I want to get a white and a black to see if they are better than DFX before I buy a big cake.

You are welcome Maggie. I don't have a ton of experience with Wolfe except the black and white. Before I invested in any of the waxy paints I bought a mini wolfs palette at party city with a coupon for like 8$ I wanted to see what all the fuss was about before a big investment. I think 1.97 is fair enough for 9 grams considering 50 gram rainbow cakes are about 13-16$ that would be 10.87 for 50 grams . A 32 gram cake on Wolfe is about 7$ and it would equal 7$ on these. Now if we are talking one strokes, that's 10-12 online for 30 grams and $6.60 with these. It's not for everyone but it's a great way to try Wolfe in a couple colors and if any of us are lucky enough to find them when they hit clearance .... That's a great deal. I will be stalking them.

CKC, I figured it out at 36 gm ($7.88) for what you would pay for 30 gm online ($7.99) with no shipping. If I can get them at 50-75% off, I'll probably pick up at least 50 grams of the black and white and try my hand at making some one-stroke. I imagine that they would be similiar to the DFX in handling and vibrancy and separation of color.

haven't been out looking. Were it not for Eva's post I wouldn't have even noticed them myself. Would save the gas and just call the local ones so you know when to hit on Nov. 1. bounce bounce bounce I'm planning on restraint until they go on clearance. I wonder if the sponge applicators that come with the paints are anywhere near as good as the lollipop applicators...that would sweeten the deal even more!

Ohhhh ladies! Went to party city today and guess what I saw there, both regular and pearl wolfe mini palette. They wanted 9.99 for the regular and 12.99 for the metallic. Didn't see any of the single colors though.

That's where I got mine to try Maggie. You can sign up for their coupons online and occasionally get 20% off. Dont get excited about after Halloween clearance though because they carry it year round.

These would be great for when I don't want to pull my FatMax out before a gig. I had a few hours out before a gig yesterday. I had to put together a smaller kit just for me to paint myself in the car before the gig. I need these now! LOL

I just picked up pink and light blue at iParty. They also had White, black, gold, and metallic green- maybe a few other colors that I don't remember. $2.99 each. The paints are pliable right out of the package, had no problem with refilling my palette. I bought 4 or 5 of the mini appetizer palettes last year for cheap and made some splits, no problem then either!
