Post by maggie on Sat Feb 12, 2011 7:11 pm

So we had the party today and it was a success, the girls loved the glow in the dark stuff. They did not want to be painted thought,
Here are some pictures

Haha! looks like fun! I was an 80's punk rocker & used eyeliner to make webs around my eyes... Hay... I still make webs around my eyes on occasion.. or flowers, or hearts.... Very Happy

Linda, you are too funny Smile

BTW Whitney, I don't remember dressing like this as a kid, I was a lot older. Then I realized you are only 24 lol

I had to share this one with my husband!! This made me LOL at the irony! YOu had a black light party, tons of photographable kids....AND THEY DIDN'T WANT PAINT!!!!

Of course I hear on the board all the time that the 'magic' of FP becomes lost when your own kids can not only have it any time they want, but are often used as practice heads.....but I just couldn't get over this one!! They were even DRESSED FOR IT!

But it does look like you put on a great party! You did great mom!

...I totally agree! Yep, they do loose the "magic", I would think even more at that age.

Kind of funny, kind of sad (for me).
I remember "dressing up" in costume in 60's clothes. Come to think of it, that was my mom's childhood. Now, people are dressing up in costumes like MY childhood. I'm feeling kind of old.

Great pics Maggie, thanks for sharing. Looks like they all had a super fun time. Gosh if I had a group of girls like this I'd be offering the 'grown up' eye designs to try & temp them. Rolling Eyes

Mandi, I did but my first offer went to my daughter and she totally refused it. Then by the time I wanted to offer to the next girl another would pop in. I think I was too busy handling the girls and talking to some of the moms Smile

I understand! I'm worried about my kids' birthday parties. Will I be trying to play host AND face painter?

It is hard to be all of it at once Gina! I asked my husband to take my son out of the house because to have a boy free party. I even had a friend take pictures.
If you have family around it should be easier. When is your daughter's birthday?
