Color equivalent to snaz pale blue

Post by Metina on Mon Mar 23, 2009 5:17 pm

Hiya,

I have been looking around and it is so hard to tell colors on the net. The snaz pale blue is the perfect color for one of my faces, but I have to go over it around 3 times to get coverage and am looking for a replacement brand for this color. Any thoughts.

I was thinking the Kryolan baby blue or Paradise light blue.

I'm not sure what color exactly the Snaz pale blue is...but I know the Paradise light blue covers really nice...if the smell doesn't bother you. Very Happy

I've not got the baby blue in Kryolan so I can't compare that one.

Good luck with finding the 'perfect' replacement!

I like my Paradise Light Blue. It really covers and blends smoothly.

I am in progress with upping some of my Kryolan in the larger sizes so cannot speak on that one. I just got my FWW paints, but haven't experimented yet! The Snaz electric and sparkle blue are splotchy - I did a batman mask tonight and was disappointed with the effects - not good even coverage with the sparkle.....

I know what you mean with the sparkle blue. I added this to what I had left of my pale blue trying to stretch it and this was a mistake. Few of the snaz sparkle colors deliver in my opinion. Which is a shame cause the colors are so nice in the cake. But then some like the sparkle orange and yellow, I couldn't do without.

I think that Sparkle Blue and Turquoise are great... the blend beautifully with Kryolan Interferenz Bach Blue. And the Sparkle Lilac is a great base colour... very intense.

I sometimes think that batches vary more than companies like to acknowledge.

You could be right. I know you go through a lot of paint Shannon so you see a lot of batches. Some of these are the only "ones" I have had.

Snaz electric blue is intense!! Perfect Optimus Prime colour, and it blends well with all sorts of other colours and brands.

I find the Snaz Sparkle white pretty lame actually, I like Grimas Pearl and it will pearlize any flat colour your apply over it.

Some Snaz cakes are a little "wimpy" but if you get a new one, bam, it is really good. I always carry "back-up" red, white and black cakes of Snaz in my kit as they can sometimes get weird. I grab the new one and everything works fine. Then let the weird one airdry for a week and then it is back to working again. The cakes get waterlogged and don't work right after awhile.

And there is a point where it is time to let go and toss the mess!

As for baby blue... try Kryolan. It is a safe bet.
