Twitter followers

I just joined twitter and I don't really know that much about it. So far it has been really fun. I'm wondering how to effectively get more followers. Any advice?

I don't know... I don't have that many followers either, but I put the twitter link on my website.... I don't tweet that often anyway.

I just started last week. I tweeted about the TLC show the Unpoppables. I wrote about how amazing it was. They tweeted back a thank you! I'm starting to feel like I communicate much more often online than in person.

I'm on Twitter!!! @facetasticParty I will go follow y'all too. I love Twitter. Although I just started the facepainting acct, I've had a personal acct for a while now. So I'm trying to figure out how to get more followers. I did put my link on my new biz cards.

One thing I did do was search for my city name and another nearby. You'll pull up people that mention the name in their tweet and that's a good way to find people to follow that live in your area. The only trouble is, they don't always know that you followed them, so you may want to try saying something to them once you follow and request a follow back. Can't hurt to TRY!!
