I just made mine! It took me all of 3 minutes! So easy! And I paid around $10.00 for all the pieces from my local Hardware Store. (Ace is the Place!) Thanks for the idea. I have a festival coming up Saturday, and I think I'll make a second one for my photo board! Thanks for sharing!

Suzy, do you write with a wipe-off marker in that empty space on your sign? If so, does the ink remove easily with no residue? Or do you tape a piece of paper with the name of the sponsoring company?
Thank you so much for sharing, Laurie! This is great!

I love this! I bet that you could use plumbers tape to keep the joints tight as it ages. Just learned about that to keep my connections tight on the airbrush, it would come right off and is white, so it would not show.
Re: Ask Lauri about her Banner Stand from the Newsletter!
I covered the white pvc of mine with the funky duct tape so that they get extra attention.
I also used a pvc primer and cement to glue mine together as I did have an issue with it coming apart in a good wind.
The only part I didn't is the front bottom support, because I don't always use it. When I have them in the booth (and we are space restricted), I put the back support inside the booth behind one of the front legs and then I bungee the top of the sign to the tent leg. Works like a charm without the front part hanging out.
We have 8 1/2x11 laminated signs that say our face paint sponsored by stuff. I love the banner so much more! Thanks for that idea!

Will this work for taller banners (like 5 or 6 foot tall ones)?
Would the base need to be bigger?
Does it topple over easily?
I was thinking of ordering a tall banner and had no idea how to display it. This would work great but I am not sure if it will be sturdy being taller.

Mine does tend to act like a sail in the wind. I'm sure it would work for a taller banner, you just need to adjust the length of the 2 vertical pieces. I'm no engineer, but I don't think you'd need to worry too much about changing the base. I would suggest having a weight of some sort for the base though.
Re: Ask Lauri about her Banner Stand from the Newsletter!
I've got a really tall one and I've been lucky enough to brace it (like against a tent wall or under wheel of the fat max) when outside. I have pondered actually weighing the pvc base, like pouring sand in it.
