New Practice Belly!

Post by colormehappy on Thu Feb 17, 2011 3:14 pm

I've been dying to try belly painting, but 1.) I don't know anyone that is pregnant & 2.) wanted to practice before I ask a random stranger to be my model. I saw some maternity forms on another site that were around $40. I did a google search to see if I could find them cheaper anywhere else.

I happened on a company that supplies store fixtures, fashion forms, etc. The maternity forms are on clearance for $5.49! I ordered two. The shipping was not as cheap as I had hoped (around $21), but I got two forms for right at $30. I ordered them yesterday, and they were delivered to the office where I work today!

I can't wait to start practicing!

P.S...I dunno why this picture is showing up sideways!

Can you post a link to the website where you bought them. I've been looking for cheaper ones for quite some time.

No problem! It was storesupply.com & the direct maternity form link is...

http://www.storesupply.com/c-1273-premium-maternity-fashion-forms.aspx

They also have other forms, etc. that would probably be great to practice body painting with.

YES! store supply warehouse is awesome! I used them all the time when i had my maternity lingerie store. I still have my black preg manniquin.. i never thought to practice painting on it because i didnt think the paint would stick to the doll. i guess i should try it and see how it works out lol.

FYI, if you're looking for bellies, I've been contacting all the birthing centers, facebook slamming & asking at parties. I'm offering the 1st 4 bellies of the year for free, just to get some more photos. I'm not sure how or if it'll work, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
