Changing Colors?

Post by SillyIzzy on Tue Feb 22, 2011 6:58 pm

I have a strange question. My business colors are currently orange and black, and my logo looks like this:

Mad I just feel like something's wrong and i don't know what. Do you think I should change the colors?

I love the way you used the f for both words and incorporated the face. And it's a fun font! The colors could be brighter...and from a graphic designer's pov, I'd say there's too much space between the letters to read easily.

Hmmmm. no one can tell you what the right colours for you are.....
Personally I started with purple and black and had to change the purple out for hot pink as you just couldn't see it well.
Do you wear orange and black? Or I should say Do you LIKE wearing orange and black? If not pick the colours you feel good in?
Or you can throw that out the window and try to do a rainbow swirl or each letter a different colour so your rainbowy!
The Logo itself is cute and I'm so impressed you took the time to come up with one. Maybe consider moving the letters closer together and put one up one down... a little more higeldy pigeldy to make them look more Funky!
( Not sure if Higeldy Pigeldy is an Aussie slang term or not... could be universal?) Wink

Totally agree with erathorange, the space between the letters is too wide. Try moving the k and y closer and also the aces. You can also try to outline the word funky with black to tie it up with the black font.

it might even be something as simple as making the background black and the black letters white... something about it is more "high end" or something. You won't lose your "brand identity" that you've already established, so long as you keep the font and way the words are generally arranged.... flip colours around, move letters closer.... it's very cute.

The first thing I noticed were that I thought the letters were too far apart. Maybe use a "fatter" font to squeeze in all the spaces, then it wouldn't look so sparse. cute logo though!
