free websites / changing my name (was klucreations)

I'm certain that there's probably a post floating around here with the latest/greatest suggestions for a free website(s), but, I can't find it!

I googled, searched here, even built a site on "yola", but didn't like it the site (their set up) so I deleted it.

ugh.... could someone please direct me toward a free site?
Down the road (as I (or IF ever) make a profit) I will upgrade/move to a pay site....

Though my name is Kathy, my family and friends all call me Kat... so, I thought it would work since someone is using the "kathy" name...

Now, I need a website... I'm attacking this face painting thing one bite at a time...

wix is awesome, it took me some time to figure out and I almost gave up on it. It has so many choices.
There is also webstarts, weebly, yola.
I'll try to look for the thread

Congrats on your new URL! I think the most popular free website builder around here is www.wix.com

I like webs.com ... mainly because all the flash stuff from wix bugs me.

I use weebly its very easy to use...and I don't know what I did
but im in the 1st page when you look up face painting in my area

When I visit sites made with wix I sometimes note that the page stalls.. I reload the page and it works.

Does this happen to you.. or have you heard of anyone commenting on something like this?

I've got 'wix' up now looking at it.. I'm not a fan of flash.. so, I'm going to try to see if I can use it without it!

Yeah, I think I noticed that and it bugs me too. My website is not up and running yet, I am stalling.

P.S. I used wordpress but it is hard to use. I don't really recommend it.

Wordpress? I use that for my blog... I find it pretty easy that way. My website is hosted on Yahoo Small Business and I created and manage it myself using their PageBuilder software. I registered my domain through Yahoo too.

I use jimdo.com. It's free and easy to use. I have tried a couple of others (paid and free) and found their web builders either too complicated or too hard. I always went back to jimdo. I can customize it with my own backgrounds and they have lots of templates. Easy to just plug in something and, wallah, it's there. I can even move sections from one page to another. Easy to load pictures too. They will even let you add advertising like google ads or other on your free site and they allow you a limited store if you sell any face painting items. Wouldn't go to any other web site host.
