First Job!

Post by Meper4m on Tue Mar 15, 2011 5:17 pm

I just booked my first job and I'm really nervous. I think I might have to paint a lot of sports logos or basketballs since it's a March Madness event. I have some paints and brushes but what does a well stocked face paint kit need? I'm also looking for orange paint and sparkles. What's best to use and where can I get some? Thanks in advance for all responses.

Congrats on the job! Check out the Face Paint Forum for paints - click the ad above to go to the storefront.

My kit includes a spray bottle, wet wipes, a towel, hand sanitizer, a mirror, paints and brushes, sponges and glitter, as well as a menu so that people can choose from the offered designs.

Have fun and take lots of pictures! (Oh yeah, a CAMERA!) Wink

I agree what Angie said is great, she is so helpful. Congrats on the job, and have fun. Anramire, your paintings are beautiful, I can't believe you haven't booked a paying gig.

Thanks everyone. I'm very intimidated by all the beautiful work I've seen. I'm still a novice in every sense of the word, but the kids that I've worked on really seem to like the simple things I've painted.

Congrats on the 1st gig!
We all were novices at one time, so no worries!
Metina's shop is amazing, with quick shipping & great prices. You can find what you need there. It's at the top of the page or here's the link:

Congrats!

I agree with everything already suggested. I also like to have a bucket to throw my sponges, paper towels, or whatever in it as a garbage can. I seperate the sponges before I throwing anything away. It's easier then having two buckets, one for things you want to reuse in the future and garbage Wink

Oh, several of your favorite brushes. I like having at least 2 or more of each brush in the same size.

Have fun!!!
