starting a shop

Post by stackhouseh on Tue Mar 22, 2011 4:34 pm

I don't know if this is the right place for this question but.....
I am slowly gathering some great products that are very hard to get in Austria. (Don't worry I'm not competition to anyone outside Austria/Germany. Shipping and tax is too expensive!) I am interested in selling Diamond FX face paint (can't get it here...just one guy in Germany) and I have tried 5 times to get ahold of someone from the company, in 2 different languages, and get absolutely NO response. Does anyone have any contact information for someone in charge of distribution?
Thanks...

You may want to contact the US distributor at diamondfx.biz and ask them for the contact information.

I have....used the contact form 3 times and sent a direct email. No luck. Sad I get a confirmation email that says they received my inquiry. That's it. I figure they would at least say they weren't interested or something.

Did you try hitting them up on Face book?
I know someone who is a distributor, and she rekons it's very easy to get in and set up shop with them.
I'm thinking with a few big conventions happing at the moment they may be out of office for awhile.....
Then again I have contacted Mehron repeated times and have come to the conclusion that they have no interest in my selling their products here as Australia has a small pop of 20 million in total... so maybe the market isn't big enough here to warrent the importation costs and border control here is intense.
Give them a little more time. I will look for contact links for you in the meantime.

Thanks Tash....I'm a patient person. I guess I'll just keep trying.

Austria is a small country, but I'll have the website in German and English, and more languages as needed. I figure this way, I'll be able to reach most of Europe. That's no small fish. The only big sellers that have a website in German is Eulenspiegel and Mehron. Most Austrians and Germans don't trust websites that don't communicate in German.

Boarder contol isn't so bad here. I've ordered tons of stuff recently and have only had to pay customs tax a few times. It's the shipping fees I have to pay from the US...that's the bugger. Shipping within the EU isn't a problem.

Love your cat by the way....VERY cute....I wonder if I could morph that into a rabbit. I'm trying to come up with some Easter ideas. Might have a gig at the Easter market in 2 weeks.

Cheers!
