Glitter tatoo!!!

Post by janet@ on Wed Apr 06, 2011 1:26 pm

Wow! what i surprise i got when i went to Michael's... They now have glitter tattoe stencils, glitter, glue and they have facepaint. Not the snazaroo kind, no this is like wolf, tag they kind you really only get online. The brand is Tulip i had never heard of of they look pretty good i must say. Well it also worries me a bit because now its just out there and everyone is going to be buying and it might slow down my business.

I saw this at the CHA show in January when they introduced it. Tulip makes a ton of paint products already, like fabric paints and dyes, etc. The face and body paint is new for them though. I tried the products out and the paint seemed decent... not better than any of the major brands though. The glitter tattoo stuff is cool to be able to buy locally, and I liked the spray tattoo paint alot. I'm glad to know it's in stores now for last minute paint emergencies.

I saw these at Michael's yesterday! I wanted to buy some glitter but I already had all the colors they offered... I wonder how the quality is though....

I suck at reviews... but this is my review...

Colors opaque, as to the claim it does not stain... well I wiped it off right after I painted it and it left a stain.... I like them.

$20 for this set of 8 set of 3 gram paints (not very much paint at all)

Regular cakes were like $8 if I remember correctly.

I saw them at ac moore today and they look pretty interesting. I wasreally tempted to buy one, but 1) my no purchase rule and 2) I didn't have a coupon right then. I like the glitter tatt brushes and wonder how well their adhesive holds gems on the skin.

hmmmmmm a thought just occured to me.....if my daughter buys the stuff and say I just give her her money back...then I don't violate my rule right????

Well that's interesting because their very claim to fame is "non staining" it must have appeared like 4 or 5 times on the outside of the box. I guess they were counting on that being the "BIG" sell point to set them apart from other brands.

I don't stain either and I mean at all. I use DFX/wolfe mainly and have not had one color ever linger, shadow, or stain on me not even the greens, and not on my daughter, it would be interesting to see what this does.

The black looks really nice and it's great to know that I can just pop over to the store and pick up some if I were ever short on supply and needed more quickly.

The white looks nicee too...I wonder how well it goes over other colors.......hmmmm maybe that could be the same as the dippy pot. The small pots of paint look to be more of a creamy consistency than the larger cakes.

Suzy??? Can you try the white over top the black, purple, and red to see if it bleeds??
