EASTER - QUICK AND SIMPLE - ESPECIALLY FOR BOYS

Post by Shelley_shell on Fri Apr 08, 2011 6:45 pm

Hi Guys

I've had a look through at all the fantastic easter designs... but are there any simple designs for boys. I'm doing a corporate company "bring your kids to work" easter fun day, and will have 4-6 simple designs... but want to cater to boys also. Any ideas?

Thanks Smile

I'm right there with you...I have an event on next Saturday and need some small Easter designs including for boys, and am a bit stumped. I'll be practicing some easy eggs and bunnies this weekend. I will keep watching this thread.

Yeah, I am there too. Girls are easy, anything pretty. I was thinking bunny tracks with some jelly beans after it, sort of "Hop" inspired, since he "poops" jelly beans, but that's about all I got, and haven't had a chance to do any painting since I've been working ALOT this week. Girls, I'm thinking "hello kitty" bunny, since I saw a stuffed one at work today and fell in love, I don't think I've seen one fp yet.

I made these quickly... (laugh) you can probably see that without me saying so... oh well...

But, they're fast to do... you might make the green egg cracked or something...

good luck

They are great Kat!

As my age group for kids is pre-dominantly in the 3-7 yrs of age (and I only get 2 mins a kid), i'm not sure if they'll want a tribal look... not sure what kids that age are into really Smile hahahaa

Here's some general messing about for ideas:

A duck... maybe add some little coloured balls/eggs to it to make it more colourful and hence, more eastery

A chickie wearing brown ears as a hat...

A hatched egg...

An easter bunny kind of look... I reckon you could do it for a boy, but in brown or blue... or any colour they want Smile

I did a spring festival/easter egg hunt gig today, and one request that I got from a few boys was a bunny with fangs and blood dripping from its mouth. That might be something to throw out there for all of the boys who don't want cute, fluffy bunnies.

HI, OK
I LOVE the idea of tribal eggs, flaming eggs and OMG Tribal bunny!! I appreciate Kat's suggestions and her sharing photos...I would love to try.
I am painting Easter Sunday ...after church....kids in best clothes...wondering if parents will want full face or not...so check art may be the best idea...

So the easter event was yesterday... about 40 kids and I had 6 designs available, as i decided i couldn't afford the time to do just any design. I had an Bunny, A Cat, A Tiger, A Dinosaur/Monster, A Puppy, Spiderman... The Cat was the most popular amongst the girls and the bunny second with both boys and girls Smile

I was exhausted afterward but apparently the kids had a brilliant time and loved every second of it Smile

No pics to post... only because It was my company event and parents weren't briefed on it. Thanks for all the brilliant ideas though! I might use them next year when I feel more confident Smile
