Kathy O, I got a question for you
I absolutely love this and was wondering how you achieved the lighter color of the collar of the jacket? Did you just got over the black with white? And if you did, what method of application did you use? It looks absolutely flawless so I was curious what you did to get such even coverage when layering the colors?

Re: Kathy O, I got a question for you
I used a soft white shimmer powder - it makes shine just a bit so the camera pics it up :-)

Wow, I would have never thought of doing that! I have a mask I've been trying to do... This application would probably get the results I was looking for! Thank you!!!!

I remember Pam Trent had use a dark blue powder on top of black for a dragon mask that she did awhile back - it was just amazing. Powders are a great way of doing highlights - and it is fast and simple

I use a dark blue shimmer powder to highlight my batman mask. It looks all flat and boring till I put it on and then POW! ZAP! And I use a purple over black for my peacock mask. Hmm. It seems I really only use them over black. I wonder what the effect would be over other colors?

Thanks so much for your response. I would have never thought of putting the powders over the paint. I'm not a big fan of them on their own, but now I'm thinking they might be a good investment. I have got to try this technique out. My mind in spinning with a ton of different uses for the technique. I think this is going to be great!

I use powders over paint a lot. Great way of creating depth and it helps set the face paint in hot weather
In my face painting class I am going to show you can paint using your loose poweres but will others who are not able to come to the class

I've got samples of powders on paint on my resources page - it is called "Pocket Powder Guide".
I love using pink or opal powders on black... makes beautiful effects.
