Your KIT!!! (Pics)

Post by Michelle G on Sun May 01, 2011 10:40 pm

Ok First off I ask for patience with this. For those of you who have done this a few time I am sorry. There have been a lot of threads about kits. We all wanna see what you have! I , myslef, am in the market for a new kit. I have been looking at the Fat max but I also know some of you ise other stuff. I just wanna see what you got! WHat you use and how you set it up. Mabey even what you like/dont like about it. Again, I know alot of you have done this already but I would like to get them all in one place vs being scatterd through out pages in 100's of threads. Thank you so much. Seing your pics of your set ups will help me A LOT!!!

I'm spewing! I had my sights set on a FATMAX and it turns out that it won't fit in the coupe. Still stuck with enviro bags. Lookin forward to some inspiration!

I haven't got any really good ones of our set up. This shows it after a few hours. DH is the messy side to the front and my set up is on the far side (top of the photo).

The tablecloth isn't in here. I take one extra bag with me with the tablecloth, some decorating fabric, decoration flowers and other stuff to make my table look pretty.
Oh, the splitcakes arn't in here, they still need to find their place, no problem; maybe I'll kick something else out.

Shannon I love Your Car!!! I looked at other stuff on your blog, you are amazing!
Dazy and Maaike- I can believe how much stuff you both have in those little cases. I am thinking about a Fat Max but I dont think I have enough to fill it (yet) so it may be over killl at this point but I have to much for my little set up now. I just switched to a bead case for my paints and I love it but it wont fit in much Sad. Thank you guys for posting. I have been going through forum withdraws!!!!So glad to be back.

I'll try to remember to get a pic tomorrow. I'll have my tent setup.
I'm a fatmax user & love every bit of it even after a years use. If there was one thing I'd be concerned about it would be if a child leaned on & broke my lid(that I leave open & use as a table). I'm very over protective of the kit & not letting kids near it or touch it for that reason.

Here is my pics, I added my split cakes to it this morning YAHOO! I play an easy game of tetris, I still have room to grow. This suitcase has wheels on it, (or a handle on each side) so I just merrily drag it along everywhere.

to set up I just put it all out on table. The witch shoe is my brush holder, a yard sale find of 50 cents. Roller up in the pirate chest is my banner and 3 handheld mirrors. Not very professional, but Im happy with it. for now, lol

This is my set up, the pics are a wee bit old now as I have added more to my kit, new colours, new brush wallet etc. If I can I'll get a pic from this weekend I've got a few gigs on. One of the things I like the most is that I can do ONE trip from my car to a gig & have everything with me. Using an occy strap to attach my director's chair to the fatmax for easy travel.

I may be going back to using a suitcase because my FatMax is falling apart already and it's only been a few months. The front handle cracked off and the little knob holding the side bar locks cracked off. Not cool. The suitcase was lighter than the fatmax though. It just sucks that I found a way to work out of it so perfectly.
