Needlenose Bottles

Post by Ashley Pickin on 5/10/2011, 9:27 pm

I bought some needlenose bottles at a craft store the other day because I thought that they would be good for glitter gel application. I don't really like using the metal tip ones.

They look like this:

I love the long skinny tip!

So I mixed up a batch of glitter gel and filled it up. I made some copper colored gel first(since I have a ton of copper glitter!) Tried it out and it worked great!

So I went ahead and mixed up a batch of pink and blue/purple as well!

I highly recommend these little bottles, worked great for me!

Hi Ashley, they look great! btw, these are the same bottles I bought for my glitter (tattoos and for pooffing ) and ended up cutting the tip too much Sad did you have to cut yours at all? and what do you mix the glitter with to make the gel?
Thanks so much!

Yea, I can see how if you cut the tip too much it would be a problem, but I cut the tip exactly where the opening started, so it's nice and skinny at the end.

I used Aloe gel, but some people use hair gel.

What creaft store and what section did you find them in?
BTW -your a genius. I dislike the metal tips as well. Sometimes I find the metal tips clog too fast and sometimes even come way too small so the tiniest of glitter won;t squeeze through.
Love the copper colour!!

Got mine at a craft shop going out of business, 6 to a bag for $2.00.

It takes about 5-10 minutes to dry all of the way, but it does dry.

What proportions do you use for glitter to gel ratio? Is this cheaper than liquid bling? Does it do as glittery a job?
