Panda-tastic!

Post by MelindaT0813 on Mon May 23, 2011 10:22 am

I was asked to make a panda.................... and I tried.
I did it from memory and got the colors confused. You would think, "hey Melinda, there are only 2, how could you POSSIBLY mess that up"
Well.. I reversed them.
**THIS IS NOT MY PICTURE!!!!***

I was too HORRIFIED to take a picture myself but the color scheme was similar
Embarassed
I wanted to die... lol
Everyone thought she looked like a racoon rofl.....
WELL!!! I covered her with glitter and said NEXT!!!!

I have refused to do a Panda since and after being asked over and over (QUIT LIKING PANDA'S KIDS!) and refusing over and over (I mean, Seriously, a PANDA!?)
I finally took a look at a picture and figured out what I did wrong.

So today for the party I am going to attend I have decided to paint myself as a... /shudders.... Panda and conquer my fears.

Pictures to follow

ooo I have done it to! LOL dont feel so bad! or Ill be painting kid after kid princesses or butterflies, then WHAM a kid comes and asks for a racecar, and Im like..DUH. whats that? the kid thought I was crazy and what ended up on her face was anything BUT a racecar!! LOL it was a red blob with headlights and a tailfin. Im looking forward to seeing a great panda face! you can tackle it. i know, it seems the simplest things sometimes are the hardest.
like my mom. wonderful cook, delicicous, but dont ever...and i mean EVER ask her to make gravy. We considered using it as the cement to put our swingset in the yard. it was bad, we had to throw the bowl AND spoon away because we couldnt get the spoon out!! it was nice.

That is toooo funny! My biggest mistake is doing spiderman and forgetting the white around the eyes!!!!!!!! I have done that face 20394523049 times but a few times I have just started with covering the face with red and then all of a sudden I am like NOOOOOOOOO!!!! lol

lol! I've done the spidey thing too... start applying the red and then stop and realize I forgot to apply white for the eyes! I should NOT talk while painting!

Pandas are popular right now b/c of Kung Fu Panda. Give it time and something new will come out in theaters. Anyone remember the Nemo craze?

I've done the spidey thing to. I haven't been asked for a panda. But I could totally see myself doing this. I <3 how you covered her in glitter and yelled next. LOL lol! geek

What a cute panda you did. I don't know if you would like comments on it - if not, don't read it Smile. My comment: Maybe try to paint the lower lip black?

I really like your newest panda though Smile

Great Panda. I won't paint it unless I can google it Very Happy
That's how I painted my 1st panda & pig(who asks for a panda & then a pig?). Strange kids back to back, but fun to do!
