in search of 'Rodeo' type glitter tattoo stencils ... 5/26/11

Post by kat on Thu May 26, 2011 9:03 pm

Hi, everyone!

I am supposed to start painting at a series of Rodeos (if all goes well - still waiting on the final answer) this summer.

I thought that glitter tattoos would go over well, but, I am having some difficulty finding stencils.

I've google'd myself silly this evening searching for stencils. I found this site ( http://www.rodeoglitz.com/tattoos-purchase.html ) but, they're a dollar a piece! No shipping.... but, if you buy lots of them, it adds up quickly!

If you have a source, would you please share it with me? bounce

I've yet to buy glitter..... I suppose stencils are a bit premature.. but, hey... I do have my glue!
I bought for the 'bling'.... it's not as tacky as I thought it would be.

I'm researching glitter as well... (hint~nudge~hint) What a Face

I'm struggling with buying a "kit", or - buying glitter/stencils/supplies separately. What would be best for a first timer? Once I hit the glitter pages, my eyes glaze over and I find myself staring endlessly at all the sparkly colors. I tend to lose track of time.. *LOL*

FYI
Hobby Lobby is having a 1/2 off sale on their scrapbook bling.... I bought several things. The sale is thru Sat. evening.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!!!!

I've done a few rodeo's, this is what's popular. I do the tatt then add bling to it. I add a 1.00 to 2.00 for bling, I get from 5.00 to 8.00 per tatt. I'll give them a break if two people want the same tatt.
Roses
Tribal heart
Tribal cross
Horse
Ribbon ( the memorial)
Tribal of any kind is popular.

shandi, there's one little boy that wants a Steer/bull.

The last time that I was there ( a month ago), he was sorely disappointed that I couldn't paint one for him.

I apologized and told him that I would practice!
sheesh, they're not as easy as I thought they'd be... I've been practicing the tribal art looking ones, as they don't seem so complicated.

mine all tend to look more like "Bessy" than a raging bull... *L*

Try Linda Adams... she will custom cut stencils for you if she doesn't have them in stock. She's on the memberlist as Linda Adams!

Sorry for the sudden disappearance last night, our cows escaped and we had to go build fence... at MIDNIGHT! ugh!!

It's a 45 minute drive there.... to our farm.

Anyway....

shandi, I'll ask them!

Suzy & Shannon, I'll send her a PM right now to inquire about them!!
Thanks sooooooooooo MUCH!!

Now, if she sells glitter and applicators, I'm in the money!!! *heh* .... or she is... depending... *L*

I'm now off to the Co-Op to buy kitten food.

As if wading through creeks, fighting broken fences, cutting up downed (due to the storm) trees, and losing a shoe in the mud.... *L* we now have TWO kittens!

As we were going home, we saw two little (3/4 weeks old) kittens in the middle of the field.... no houses around.

It was too late to try to find their mother - though we did look for several hundred yards around them ..... and with the coyote problem that we have, we didn't want to just leave them... so, at about 4 am we became the new (temporary, I hope) owners of two kittens.

Kitten, anyone?
*g*

Ah the memories... of chasing our horses up the highway in the dark of night... rebuilding fences in pouring rain while trying to hold the horses back with my shoulder... yeah, I really miss having livestock.

NOT!
