cool box for a portable kit

Post by shandi on Fri Jun 03, 2011 11:44 am

I did a event to raise funds for a school for something or another. They had a silent auction to benifit the boy scouts. I wasn't making much money didn't think I could even try and bid on this then someone came by and tipped me a 20.00 so I bid a won! It's perfect as a portable travel kit when I don't want to drag out my fAtmax.
The paint trays fit perfect. One of the scount masters showed up after the auction drunk and pissed I had gotten it for 20.00 because he wanted it. Great role model for kids cussing and drunk. I took all the picnic stuff out of it.

You know that always gets me! We have green tag auctions where I work where they auction off unused office equipment and such. The money all goes to the Christmas basket fund and is used to buy gifts for less fortunate children at Christmas. It's a good cause so I bid with the intent to win and I bid high because the money is doing good. It never fails that somebody gets mad that they were outbid! I bid $25 for a modular office desk that was worth well over $400 and the guy who I beat came to me offering to buy it for $10! I told him that he could have it for the $25 I paid for it. Guess what his response was...
"you bid THAT much on a desk??!!". Seriously, these people are cheapskates (most of them driving cars that make my car look like hot wheel) and they complain about somebody bidding reasonably and winning!
I won a projector that I gave to my church for $20... the other bidder had bid $3 for it...and yes, she was mad...she said that she was going to give it to her child's school and accused me of robbing them! She pretty much shut up when I told her that it was a shame that she didn't think her child's school was worth more than $3 Evil or Very Mad
