I CERTAINLY wouldn't consider you as a beginner. It doesn't matter how long you have been doing it, it is the quality. I think you superman on you youngest son was good. You should think of yourself as intermediate. When you see a beginners work....then look at yours you will see what I mean. It has to do with skill mixed with talent. You must have some art talent and experience. When I first started, my background was clay sculpture and nail art.....the rest is history. You will improve. I have been doing this for 8 years (part time) and I still improve. How boring it would be to .....be there! never needing to improve. That is what motivates me. Good luck and keep it up

Denise - thanks for the video sharing! It was great and gives me lots of inspiration. I have some Snazaroo that I have been wanting to make into some babycakes and will definately make a white, gray, black split. bounce
Tash - what fabulous roses! I agree that the teens and adult ladies will just love them. You are SO talented!
Jen - love your quick puppy. Looks so quick, yet so detailed. Absolutely fabulous for those squirmy young ones!

I really love those bees. Rebecca, is this an ABC cake that can be purchased?

hi metina,

yes, i used candy corn...and added a thin line of blk to the outside of the yellow. silly farm is in the process of making the change

what's great about that cake....is you make the roses with the other side of the cake.
so the bees and roses are all from one cake

they are really fast to paint!

thanks!

Rebecca,
Why wax paper?
Also, did you glue the jewels to the wax?
Thanks!

hi tamarie,

i use wax paper because marcela teaches to use it. u can place it over a drawing of a face....and see through it. and, if you make a mistake...you can just wipe it clean, and keep painting.

i just stuck the jewels on...they were self sticking

also, if you use wax paper....you can keep the design.

Rebecca,
Does the wax paper dry 'sticky'?

Thanks!
