Opinon on our name... please :)

Hello Everyone! I started face painting with a friend last summer @ a family sports event...FREE as this was for our kids. Our name was going to be Artistic Anas' as my name is Ana Sue and her name is Ana. I invited another one of my best friends to join us (her name also begining with the letter "A". That being said, I came up with:

A .n. A Creationz
Face Painting & Body Art

I reckon coming up with a business names is so challenging, so well done and may you all have the best of luck!

I think it has a nice ring. Be careful if you plan on ever having a website. People may have trouble finding you online and the punctuation won't work well with a website name. It all depends what you want to do with it. Good luck!

I'm going to say this- and probably sound like a real jerky kind of person for it- but I don't know if I would use another person's name in my buisness (unless it was my kid or something). What if there is a falling out? What if one of them moves? What if you bring in another party? Will you still be satisfied with the name?

I'm going to be honest...there are a couple of problems. The spelling of creationz will confuse people. I usually spell Anna with two "n's" so you'll always have to explain. How are you going to put the periods in a website name?

Suggestions? Three Friends Face Painting, A+ Face Painting, Triple A Face Painting, Ana-mation Faces, Ana & Friends Face Painting, Ana-Art, Ana Amigas...

What about Artistic Creations or Artistic Creationz? Before you decide on a name it can be helpful to use godaddy.com's domain search tool to see what is available and even generate ideas.

I would first recommend tossing a few you like into a search for availible .com's. We first went with angel faces facepainting, but couldn't get a sight name, and being in a partnership we found cincinnatifacepainters.com was open, so we have changed and adopted that name ( No one really knew who angel faces weree anyway). I found it more professional and now have a sight. Yay! I think the name will be easy for people to remember if they want to look for my website.

It would be a good idea to check out similarly named sites. I had a lady call me clear from Chicago looking for "paint-it-party" luckily it was a company that does art still...she was so frustrated though.

I also had to register my name through the state as a AKA for our LLC so you should check there and make sure it's not taken.

I love the name! I don't know how other people feel, but in my humble opinion, I cringe a little when something is spelled wrong on purpose, especially dealing with kids. But otherwise, I think it sounds great!
