That is a wonderful start! Butterflies are the most challenging of anything I paint and I still haven't perfected mine. Your colors are so soft and pretty! Keep practicing your linework and remember to point all your teardrops toward the same point at the outer corner of the eye - these are the things I'm practicing and still learning, too. I love you Oh and I love your dots!!

Thank you! Yes they are so hard! I'll have to find one that works for me. Tear drops are really hard for me too. Im also having an awful time with the snaz white!!!! Its all goopy....gross. But the red and green are fine. But after i apply the white and it dries it flakes off !

I started with a couple of small Snaz palettes, and they are really frustrating for details and linework...

I ordered a couple paradise pallettes after that, and those are *better* but I really can't wait till my DFX comes Very Happy (hopefully today!!)

I reckon that is pretty damn good for a first butterfly. Infact my first ever butterfly didn't look half as good.
Bec Anthony does a really good u-tube video of a rainbow butterfly. I'm sure you will be just as inspired as I was when you watch it. Very Happy

Great first try - can't wait to see your next one.

Don't put too much hope into the paint working for you... I say this for two reasons.... 1. I do all my work with Paradise.... yes even my line work and details... feel free to check out my work, I don't think my line work is sloppy and the paradise black comes off easier then DFX or Wolfe or TAG, so IMO is better for little ones faces - it's also a make-up not a paint so its better for your skin.
And 2. because ALL of us had trouble with teardrops and line work and butterflies when we started. Every Single One of us. The ONLY way to get those teardrops you always wanted is practice practice and practice... then when your sick of doing that practice more. Legs and arms in front of the telly is the best way for me! Smile
That said Snaz is notoriously difficult for line work. I don't know how Perry does it. So you will see a definite improvement in opaqueness and crispness straight away.

Hey thanks! I ended up getting the tropical paradise pallet I love it! I may get a different white maybe DFX. I also really hate how bad green stains I feel bad for all my st.patty day people I painted. I am slowly getting better I do mostly cheek art.
