Website feedback, please! :)

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to finally have a web presence! HUGE thank you to BumbleBee for pointing me to wix.com after I admired her gorgeous site. There is no way I could have afforded what I see most designers charging for websites, and wix offered much better options than many professionally done sites I've seen. I've tweaked and customized my site all week and know my eyeballs need a break, lol. I'd be very appreciative for honest critique and any feedback! Also there is no spellcheck I can find on wix so please let me know if you happen to see a typo or anything that needs correcting!

It's lovely!! Some of the pages load slow for me (I'm on DSL), but it looks very professional and beautiful! Is this a flash site, and would the next show up in search engines? I thought about switching to wix but wasn't sure about the flash and how it did with searches.

Nice! So many things I like about your site - it's colorful, very organized and easy to navigate, and my favorite thing is your writing. It's so well-written and expressive, and I really get a sense of your personality.

I normally don't prefer automatic music on websites but the music you chose is really nice (I still have it playing in the background...so relaxing, lol). It's just kind of startling when you're not expecting it and your volume is up on your speakers or headphones. Does Wix allow you to change the default volume for the music so it plays a little quieter when you enter your site? It's not really necessary but it could help.

Also (and this may just be a function of my sometimes deathly slow internet), I can see that you have some really nice photos but the speed of the moving photo gallery makes it a bit difficult to click on individual pics. Slowing down the gallery would help, I think. Those "slider" galleries are also nice and allow the user to view photos at their leisure (also might help the page load faster).

So that was kinda long, sorry! Haha. Of course these are just my opinions and you really do have a lovely site. I'll probably be going back often just to have the flowy background music

very nice job - great colors and like others said, easy to navigate. I don't usually like music on sites, but yours is very gentle and soothing!

Oh and to make your own wix site, just go to www.wix.com I'm not sure how flash affects search engines....will have to check that out.

I'm also using Wix and it's supposed to be very search engine friendly. Here is the link to Wix's SEO help page. Gives you a pretty good idea of what you can do with it.

If you haven't done so already, setting up a mobile version of your Wix site is a good idea since a lot of people are into their smartphones (I'm no exception!). It's super easy to do and makes a simple, clean mobile site.

I clicked on the link and sat there... waiting. Then gave up as I have no attention span. Not sure why as I am on a BRAND SPANKING NEW computer using Explorer 9.

Awesome information - thank you SO SO much! I had no idea there was even a mobile version available and have had several people tell me the website was hard to nav on their iphones - this is perfect! I was able to set it up in half an hour. I didn't realize you can't change the template once you start, though, so choose carefully!

Oh wow! That is not good at all... Not sure what happened there but thank you for trying and for letting me know.
