Hello and welcome
I agree with the others about paint supplies, except that I truly love some split cakes! Practice lots of strokes on yourself and even a practice pad. Have fun, and check here often.
I, like you, am artistic and this is another way to love art. I have been at tit for a few years, but only a few times per year as volunteer at my church. Now I want to start playing with the big kids!

Yeah! Another Painter in Idaho!!! Sounds like you have gotten a lot of tips about what to get, I would just say- don't let anything stop you from starting (and charging) For me as I paint, the money keeps coming in to buy more, and I am really happy with my kit now. Please continue to post and let us all know how it goes!!!
