I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...
as I would like
I miss everyone and thought I would let you know why.
I have been running like a chicken without a head, school is almost out, there are parties and more parties, my daughter is graduating from 5th grade and I took a lot of projects around the house before my parents arrive at the end of the month.
I try to pop in but i get so overwhelmed with all the new posts and threads hahahaha you guys are really busy.

I think everyone is having a busy time- and that's good! It's wonderful to know that the forum (and all our buddies) will still be here when things slow down.
Re: I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...
Right Sophie. Kim, my henna is finally gone. I got so many compliments on it. Gee Maggie, you have one birthday and you fall off the posting wagon! LoL. Gives me a chance to catch up on posts. How many do I need to catch up to you? 2000??
Re: I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...
Glad to hear I am not the only one
I also think I will be more active in the fall/winter, specially with all the snow days.
Hahahaha Amira, you are so funny. I think if you start now you can catch up. wink wink
I didn't know you were doing henna, see? I missed that and I am sure so many other great things that were posted. I kind of feel like a bad friend for not being supportive

Re: I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...
@Maggie - I was teaching at FABAIC and I did henna on a whole bucketload of peeps and Flopsie managed to snag one! I wish I could have gotten everyone, but like some of the other instructors was saying...you just have to let it go. It is physically impossible to get everyone so try to just do what you can and remember to enjoy yourself. They were right! BUT it was AWESOME! I'll be doing a pre-class next year where I'll be going front to back! How to roll a cone, jaq bottles, ppd info, design layout and the differences between cultures and styles. Fast festival design breakdown, costs, displays, advertising, mixing tricks, brands and what they mean, farming methods and blow over, and that's just the tip of the iceburg! In my mind it's also going to be 'class driven' where what everyone wants to know will be brought to class and we'll touch on what is important and most useful to the group. VERY excited! AND in the cross over world, I'm teaching in California in October at a henna conference put on by HennaCaravan and I'm bringing my paints!!!!!!!
Re: I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...
Kim, Congrats on the teaching gigs! Will look forward to seeing you next year.
Maggie!! Have missed you and your positive posts! Seems we are all getting busier with the summer season and will be MIA, at times. No worries!! We will see ya when we see ya. (And btw, we still need to get together and plan a jam with Gloria and the other "locals" perhaps when things slow down)
Have a great summer!

Re: I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...
Maggie, I was just thinking of you and wondering where you went. I kinda miss you! I figured you were busy busy. I get that way sometimes too. The summer months are probably going to be busy for all of us, particularly on the weekends, right? This will be my first summer as a face painter and I'm already getting booked up!
Plus, If I'm missing for a few days here and there or just checking in and not posting it's because I'm also searching for a house. Ugh, I don't even know if I'm looking for a rental or purchase right now so I spend hours on the Internet searching through both.

Re: I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...
I understand completely. I'm lucky if I can get on here every 3 days or so....
Re: I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...
Good to hear from you again Maggie, I'm glad you're doing well and are 'good busy' rather than the 'bad' sort
Re: I have not disappeared, still here but not as much...

You guys are all so incredible sweet! I think we all should live in the same zip code (pout)
Kim, Congratulations on the teaching, that is amazing...you are amazing!
CC, We do need to get together, you know I live so close to Ruth and we haven't met yet? We deserve a spanking HAHAHA!
Gina, I was wondering how were you doing after your post about moving, I think this is the right time to buy at least here in CT, there are so many options and the market has come down a lot more. I wish I could help you search for your next home.
I secretly love moving, a new adventure, a new place...I am constantly moving furniture around so I don't feel bored. I even signed up to receive daily alerts on houses for sale in my are, this is my fetish.
XOXOXO
