roses how to make them

I'm practicing, for waaaaaay too long now and I don't get it right!
How do you make a rose?????

There are some wonderful 'rose' videos on youtube - most seem to start with an inverted "U" with pink/red/white split cakes and then cup the U with another one, then layer 'scoops' around the "U"...

which sounds totally confusing - watching the videos is probably a better idea

Having said that - I'm still practicing and practicing and obviously need to continue a lot more before I really like the roses I can do

What kind of roses? One-stroke? Tattoo one-stroke? ...there are so many different kinds. Then there's buds, full roses, etc.

Rebecca I recognize your Arty Brush style in that photo, sooo pretty! I'm sorry they're using it without your permission. Maybe since they are in a another country they do not know who to credit? Hopefully they will respond positively.

Sandy from Studio Joli is a very talented painter and I don't think she has to use other peoples pictures, because she paints very, very well herself. I did a class with her last year and she is very professional.
So I don't think she is aware of this. I think Sandy understands English very well, so I expect she will respond to you. Which picture is yours BTW?
