Hello from another newbie.

OMG, I am sooo new that I am not even sure if I am posting to the right topic!! I am also very new to face painting and ONLY have done two parties, one for charity, that one got me hooked. The second one I actually got paid. So now I am looking to learn all I can!! I am from RI and would love to hear from only one else in this area or any area for that matter, I need all the help I can get!!! lol! Thank you.

Hi Sandee!! I'm relatively new to face painting too, and have also had my first paying gig. I'm instantly addicted and just LOVE it! I found that You Tube is my friend...there is a year's worth of videos on there with amazing and beautiful tutorials. Watch and learn all that you can. I'm also going to try to do a lot of the contests and other calls for painting on here, and share all that I can so that I can get critiqued as much as possible. This is an amazingly friendly community, and I'm not at all afraid to show my work here. Good luck, be blessed and welcome!

You are all so kind. thank you. Like the dummy jocolor that I am I didn't get pictures of my first two jobs, duh. You Tube? I didn't even think of that, thank you again. I was on the question and answer post and within 5 mins. I was learning things. What a great site this is.

No worries...I didn't take pictures of my first gig either. I can't believe it!! I'm hoping to wrangle some of my kids to let me paint them. My avatar is my daughter...she let me paint her the one time for the monthly challenge here, lol. I really need to take some more photos though for my board so I can paint more on the 4th!
