Unicorn or horse eyes

Post by nikisteel on Thu Jun 23, 2011 7:19 pm

Hi, I am a total newbie. Just working on my grandkids right now until I get better at it.
I was wondering if someone has a tip on making Unicorn or Horse eyes looking straight on (not sideways).
I can't get mine in the right place or the right size or even with each other.
The kind of eyes I am talking about are like on Shannon Fennell's Unicorn.
Would appreciate any tips.
Thanks,
Just Nanna

Hmm... well, horses and unicorn's eyes aren't straight on IYKWIM

Have you checked out Christina Davison's horses? http://www.amadazzle.com/

Is this what you mean? I start by sponging the muzzle & then work up the nose. I then sponge around the eye & do the neck of the horse. I finish by sponging it's jawline & squish my sponge in the right shape to make ears. I use a Filbert brush to make the horn & a large Filbert for the mane. Then it's just the outline.

The kids at church had just got done watching SPIRIT, so she had to be painted just like him Very Happy
