Re: Free hand rainbow star bursts
Sorry to dig up a two month old thread, but as I was reading about all the brushes I wondered... could you put the glue into one of those fine tip henna bottles or henna cones?
Re: Free hand rainbow star bursts
I tried that and the glue was thin enough that it just ran out of the tip. I had visions of cool henna-like free hand. I was wondering about trying white elmer's type glue for fun, it would have to be pretty thick.

Darn! I am ordering my glitter tattoo stuff next week and I was kinda envisioning the same thing, Denise. Swirly, loopy free handed goodness. Ah well, cest la vie! Can't wait to play around with the stuff though!! <3
Re: Free hand rainbow star bursts
I use mine out of a jaquard bottle but I have a micro point plastic tip (where it's the width of a really thin needle). I honestly have no clue where I picked it up but it works. The only issue I've run into is that the glue dries and clogs so I have to store the bottle with a needle in it.
Re: Free hand rainbow star bursts
Yep thats prob the kind of bottles I use - I had to bulk buy to get them though!
Mine i prefer to the push-in lids with the metal push on cone tips as the applicator tips I now have screw on so won't pop off.
Plus I get many sizes of tip so you can get EXTREMELY fine.

I love it as your glue 'keeps' in the bottles when you take off the applicator tip and put the cap back on - so no possibility of spillage or it drying out.
I try not to use brushes unless for big areas as none of the removers restore brushes perfectly and they get ruined.
Here is a video of me using my bottles:

its more to show the glue application process than the glitters!

Re: Free hand rainbow star bursts
I'm beginning to crave a glitter tattoo kit... But I can't bring myself to pay so much for the first set up...
Re: Free hand rainbow star bursts
Ah but you can charge more per tatt than faces, as it lasts longer and has that 'wow' effect. Plus I mainly only do this at adults events (balls etc) so can charge a bit higher again!
Re: Free hand rainbow star bursts
I got a bottle set from Hobby Lobby and the tips were too fine for my homemade liquid bling (kept popping the top like Cat mentioned) but they might work for glue. I'll have to test them.
Cat, it looks like you use the type of glue that Amerikan Body Art sells that I have. Is there a name for it?

Cat, where did you bulk buy these from? If I googled it, what would it be called? Those are awesome
I've been using a glass bottle with a brush on the lid (like for nail polish), but the brush is too thick.

Re: Free hand rainbow star bursts
I did a deal with a guy who buys other stuff from the company for his industrial site;)
I don't know re Amerikan Body Art, the guys I get my glue from make it in the UK & as said like most glues it doesn't travel well, they charge a LOT to ship it. As said most of the glues are pretty similar and Graftobian etc is what I used to get before this - that still worked out chepaer than Ybody pink glue...
Yep I went right off the liquid bling style bottles thats why I hunted up these!

Yep the tips are the same as i sell but the bottles I sell are oval and easier to handle/ squeeze. And I have tried all the tips - if those are the same size as mine, you don't want to go wider than pink or thinner than orange, it doesn't work with cosmetic glue as its runnier than henna.
